##article.abstract##

This study aimed to describe environmental care attitude and responsibility through science learning in Langke Rembong 2 Middle School. This research was a qualitative descriptive study. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis of data used data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. For assuring the validity of data, triangulation of sources, techniques, and time were used. The results showed that in instilling a caring attitude towards the environment and responsibility through science learning the teacher used 4 methods, namely 1) exemplary method by showing an excellent example of how to protect the environment; 2) teaching method by integrating environmental education in science learning; 3) habituation method to familiarise students with environmental maintenance activities  as routine activity, such as 'clean Friday' and school gardening and 4) conditioning method through providing facilities that support students in maintaining the environment, i.e. providing a landfill. Also, the teacher could use the environment as learning resources or place of learning for students.
