UTILIZATION OF BIGBOOK MEDIA IN DEVELOPING EARLY READING ABILITY OF KINDERGARTEN GROUP B STUDENTS IN LANGKE REMBONG DISTRICT

Abstract

The purpose of this PkM is the teachers get knowledge about making bigbook media in developing erly reading ability  the kindergarten group B students. PkM is done in partner school that are TK Inviolata and TK Dharma Wanita in Ruteng on June 2017. Method of implementation of activity of PkM is in the form of training and accompaniment which its implementation includes four (4) stages of program planning, program implementation, observation and evaluation, and reflection. The results achieved in this PkM are as follows: (a) Establishment of teacher working groups based on class groups served in kindergarten. (b) There is an increased knowledge and skill of teachers about the making of bigbook media with applied science and technology approach in developing various capabilities of children according to standard of achievement level of child development. (c) Generated 14 sets (bigbook media) for kindergarten children group A and group B according to learning theme.
